Following the government’s announcement on Tuesday 22nd September regarding the tightening of restrictions on the hospitality sector, we need to make a few changes to ensure we keep the club open so you can continue to enjoy a drink and a chat.
We will therefore be introducing the following measures as of this Thursday 24th September.
Face masks must be worn on entering the club and should remain on until you have been shown to a table and are seated at it.
We have also listened to your comments on the current one-way system and will be changing the direction. So you will still enter by the main doors on Hookstone Road but on entering the foyer, you will be asked to wait before being shown anti-clockwise into the lounge/bar area to a table.
Exiting the club or visiting the toilets will be via the right of the bar, through to the concert room and out where you came in.
Your drinks order will be taken by a member of the bar staff, payment taken (ideally by contactless) and your drinks delivered to your table. As soon as you stand up to move from your table – eg to visit the toilets, play pool, snooker, darts or gaming machines or to leave the club – you must wear your face mask.
We accept that these new rules on wearing of face masks will take a little time to become habit. It’s easy to forget to put your mask on when you leave your table so you will be reminded to do so (probably by those around you!).
However, for the safety of others, repeated failure to comply with these new rules will result in you being asked to leave the premises.
The new opening times will be as follows:
Monday and Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 3pm to 10pm
Saturday & Sunday: 12pm to 10pm
However, please note that last orders will be called at 9pm and we ask all members to vacate the premises before 10pm when the club will close. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
We are now offering a drinks take-away service so you can enjoy your favourite tipple at home. Please ask at the bar for details.
